HRP-3 Promet Mk-II Waterproof Robot Android

The HRP-3 Promet Mk-II is a blue-collar android tough enough to trudge through heavy rains, carry out disaster relief operations and work in environments hazardous to humans. In this video, the robot shows off its skills at a June 21 press conference at Kawada Industries headquarters (Tochigi prefecture, Japan). The robot can walk on slippery surfaces and use power tools.

The soundtrack is Senor Coconut's cha-cha-cha rendition of Kraftwerk's 1978 classic "The Robots."
